Book Review: A Murder of Crows by Edward Medina

This fast paced, quirky novella holds great promise for further adventures.  This is the tale of Belladonna DeRanged and Benjamin Nightthorn, and how in turn they took the pleasant, talented, amusing but broke Otter’s Bizarre Circus through 13 years of murder, mayhem, torture and abuse, to something quite extraordinary in terms of a ghost ship called Revenge.  It’s a rollicking, clever tale of betrayal and jealousy, in a society inhabited by animals that have developed their talents in very special ways since the Great Evolution.

It gets more bizarre as the story unfolds, but there is nothing wrong with that!  I thoroughly enjoyed it and I’m looking forward to the next in the series of the X Pirates!
