REBW13 bookmanRead an Ebook Week, the world’s largest global celebration of ebooks,  starts today. During this week people all round the world will be encouraging people to read… and to read an eBook!  My distributor Smashwords is a huge supporter of this initiative, and once again is assisting with a huge promotion of our independently published books.

You can get news, information and competitions at the Read an Ebook website.  There are some eReaders as prizes in contest, both at the site and through the sponsors.

I was impressed at the link to Worldreader, which helps people who maybe never see paper books get ebooks because they have mobile phones!  You may think that’s strange but it seems to be true.  This is what they say:

Most children in Africa never own a book. With the power of e-readers and digital books that is changing. Using e-readers and mobile phones, Worldreader provides children and their families access to tens of thousands of local and international e-books, so they can improve their lives. E-books are transforming reading in the developing world.

All my books are included in the REBW promotion:

You need to use the coupon code at the check out to get these prices.

If you’ve come visiting from the Kid Lit Blog Hop, do check out other kids books that are available free and at discounted prices at smashwords.com. Filter for Children’s books at the side before using the price, popularity and length filters at the top.  Happy reading!
