A to Z Survivor Badge 2013The A to Z Blog Challenge is over, and I hope you enjoyed all the stories – short, medium and long.  And, of course, the Book Reviews.  If you didn’t get around to entering the Giveaway, then I’m afraid you’ve missed it; this post comes online about an hour after it closes.

The ‘nearly’ part of the title is because I have a Reflections post to write – due on Friday.  I will include the winners of the Giveaway in that, since I hope most will respond to their ‘winner’ emails promptly.

News

There’s a lot of news about the next book to give you.  The Talent Seekers is nearly ready for publication.  If anyone would like an Advance Review Copy (pdf or word doc), let me know in the comments below or via Goodreads message.  The Chapter Illustrations are already on the website.  I’ll be doing the cover reveal in a few days.

May will also be busy because we have Children’s Book Week for 13-19 May, and I’ll be posting something here and on the website for that – with a giveaway on the website.

Progress

I’ve linked all the short stories last month that were part of the Princelings saga to the official website where there is now a Short Stories‘ section under the ‘Xtra Stuff’ menu.  I may need to work on and publish that timeline for them soon.  Does anyone know of a neat blogging widget that would work on WordPress for that?

Also sometime last Saturday – around 2 am UK time – we had our 5,000th viewing on the site.  This is counted as page views rather than actual distinct visitors; but it’s better than Blogger counts as they don’t appear to be able to distinguish spammer visits – ours are genuine ones.  I have tracked down the person most likely to have been that 5,000th visitor and offered them a free ebook!

Back to normal

So – it’s back to normal.  I have to remember what normal is!  I have to read books ready to review for you; I know I need to do a time travel and a classic each month for my challenges.  Today is Kid Lit Blog Hop day but I’ll link it back to Wrinkle in Time – although I’d love to link it to X Marks the Spot to give Dylan and Dougall some kudos!

And to update the formal part of my reading challenges, both YA&MGTimeTravel Challenge and the Classic Children’s Book challenge were Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle.

It’s over – nearly
