My last regular post in the Book Blogger Hop, courtesy of Coffee Addicted Writer – but I’ll be dipping in and out occasionally when the question interests me. This week:
Do you request notifications of new replies when you post a comment on a blog post?
Mostly I don’t unless the post involves me directly, like a review of one of my books, or a guest post. Then I’ll want to interact with people who comment on it, especially if they have further questions that I should answer.
I do occasionally ask for notification if the subject is something of special interest and I want to know what others think. If it’s a WordPress blog I’ll see replies to my comments anyway, which is useful, but not if they are only comments on the post itself. I like the opportunity to follow all comments on a post – it makes blogging more alive.
Talking of guest posts – if you would like me to do a guest post for your blog this autumn (fall) just leave a comment below and I’ll get back to you!
Have you enjoyed these questions and the Book Blogger Hop? Let me know in the comments. Now… Go Hopping!
I follow, unless I’ve not said anything worth responding to. I’m always looking for chances to engage, so I want to know if someone answers me. On the other hand, with really busy blogs (like Chuck’s) I don’t, because it would overwhelm my inbox. In those cases I try to peek back in a few days and see if anyone has responded to me in particular.
Ah yes… That’s something that drives me mad with Facebook… you leave a reply saying ‘congrats on your new baby’ or whatever then you get 500 email notifications of people you dont know saying the same thing to the person you do know!
