Giveaways abound.

“Enter to win cash or books.”

Have you had enough?

I like to run a giveaway about once a month, but of course there are also giveaways attached to book promotions.  As I negotiated my way round them last week I wondered… have I got too many of them?  Do the same people enter and would they visit anyway?  The big question is: do they read my blog?  I know you do, but do giveaways really attract new blog readers – and, even more importantly – potential book readers?

I particularly thought this as I scrolled through the 125 or so entry options for the big Blogger Appreciation giveaway which runs to the end of the month.  I was glad to be relatively near the top, but has anyone got the stamina to go through all those options?  On the other hand, I know I do get repeat visitors among the entries to my own giveaways.  Thank you for returning, especially when I’m giving away Princelings prizes rather than other things I’ve read!

By the way – you’ve got less than 24 hours to enter the September is for Sequels Giveaway on the Princelings website!

Tell me again what your goal is with the read-a-thon? Are you reading YA books?

It’s six sequels from my TBR list – you can see them in the Goodreads box lower right on this page. Falco (Davis) is crime/detective in Ancient Rome, pretty clean, really. Montalbano (Camilleri) is detective in Sicily, sometimes messy but rarely with anything to upset teens, and the others are MG. If I add in Legend, that’s tending towards YA imho.
They are all series I love 🙂

I need to sit in the garden with the guinea pigs on fine days, to make sure next door’s cat doesnt come in. Luckily this week is fine, and I can sit and read rather than garden!!

Love this vision. Do they crawl into you lap while you read?
