It’s like a Black Friday sale – for books!
The first step toward finding amazing book deals is to browse the Read Tuesday catalog (see below).
Don’t worry: You won’t make purchases at Read Tuesday. You buy books at major retailers, like Amazon and Smashwords, as usual. Read Tuesday is just here to help readers (and gift givers) find good books at great prices, and to help authors and publishers find readers.
When browsing one of the Read Tuesday catalog pages, try pressing Ctrl + F. This works on Mozilla FireFox, for example, by opening a Find box in the bottom left corner of the screen, but when I try it on Internet Explorer, the Find box appears at the top, so it may vary.
Try typing a keyword, like mystery or fantasy (or paranormal romance) into the Find box and it will find every instance of that word on that catalog page. You can also advance from one result to another. If you know an author who is participating in Read Tuesday, try typing the author’s name in the box (or just the last name). Or if you know of a specific book on sale on Read Tuesday, type the title of the book (or just a couple of words in order) in the Find box.
For Kindle books, copy the ASIN number of the book into the search field at Amazon to quickly pull up its product page at Amazon. Other catalog pages, like Smashwords and CreateSpace, include direct links that you can simply click.
Note that the Read Tuesday catalogs are being expanded as the final submissions have been added to the catalogs.
We may also improve the catalogs somewhat to help organize them better (and we may add a few subcatalogs, e.g. to help quickly find children’s or teen books) so if you’re looking for those, come to the main site for links to the sub-catalogs.

These books take advantage of Amazon’s MatchBook tool, setting the MatchBook offer to free. First purchase the print edition at Amazon, then get the Kindle edition for free. Read the instructions at the top of this catalog (click the following link) to learn more (it includes pictures to help make sure that the MatchBook price will be free).

(4) Print Book Discount Codes (Paperbacks Make for Great Gifts)
These discount codes are valid at CreateSpace (an Amazon company, though the codes don’t work at Amazon, only at CreateSpace). Find discounts up to 40% off. The per-book shipping charges are more economical if you purchase multiple books (be sure to apply each discount code and check that the savings are applied to all of the books).

If you missed it, there may still be hope:
First, if you’re reading this post on the night of December 9, there might still be a few hours left.
Second, many of the participating books are on sale for one or more days beyond Read Tuesday, so some books might still be on sale. (This is a wise practice for authors to pick up a few latecomers to the party.)
Third, if you’re really late, there is always 2015. Maybe you’re not a week late. Maybe you’re 51 weeks early. Buy yourself a 2015 calendar and circle Tuesday, December 8, 2015 so you don’t miss it next year.
