I wanted to finish a book in order to review it inside the author’s launch timescale, but I got to the first page on the train and felt the need to rest… well, I had already finished two on that journey, so I think I can be forgiven. I planned to read it as soon as I got home, but I had to spend more time with my older guinea pigs than expected as they hadn’t taken my absence too well (long story, it’s on the guinea pig forum). So here I am on a Wednesday with nothing to say.
I thought: I could do my A to Z Road trip instead… but that involves visiting lots of people, and I haven’t got time to do that, since I could be reading the book instead. I need to prepare my Flash Fiction for Friday before I go blog-hopping, so I won’t get the road trip done for today’s post.
So I re-read your kind replies to last week’s ‘working too hard’ post, and decided to give you a haiku instead.
June is flying past.
Grass and piggies bask in sun;
Cold wind deters me.
Hey, it’s summer! Time to take some time and maybe miss a few posts (I will be setting an example starting soon!)
I think most Wednesdays will be wonky in July 🙂
Yeah, where is June going? May flew by and now June is doing the same. Someone hit stop!
My birthday’s at the end of the month and I’ve just had my first birthday card. Nothing like getting ahead of myself!
