I love this annual event from Valerie at Stuck In Books.  I just have to choose one of the books I couldn’t put down and offer it to you in a giveaway.  Which to choose?  Well, that wasn’t hard, since none of my books has had me itching to get back to it more than Lindsay Buroker’s fabulous Emperor’s Edge series.  I got the first three in the series as a collection, and have just finished the third, reviewed on Saturday.

These are some highlights of what I said about the first – Emperor’s Edge:

steampunk world  … magic is outlawed … Amaranthe Lokdon, a rarity on the force …  out of the enforcers and onto the wanted  – dead or alive – list…. the assassin Sicarius … Her plan is … so weird it might just work.  … Deceit wrapped in treachery overlaid with double-dealings  … Ms Buroker’s writing is like silk  – silence creeps over them like darkness … a beautifully crafted book … exquisitely honed characters … a lot of tasteful gore …so smooth it’s like consuming chilli and lime chocolate … really classy  … Sicarius is hot!   Such a shame he’s an assassin…

Read the whole review here, but if you’ve already decided, just enter the Giveaway, then Hop to some others!
