The Norwich Festival of Crime Writing – or Noirwich – returns for another long weekend of talks, discussions and workshops in the beautiful settings of the UNESCO City of Literature – Norwich, Norfolk, UK.  The dates are 17th to 20th September, so only one month to go.

You may remember I went to talks and workshops last year – I particularly enjoyed the talk by Sophie Hannah and Val McDermid.  I must get around to reading their books!

This year I may well go to all the talks, and they’ve cleverly introduced a season ticket to encourage me!  You can see the full programme and apply for tickets at the Noirwich website.

I’m really looking forward to seeing Elly Griffiths (The Crossing Places, The Janus Stone) on the Sunday (with brunch), and Andy McNab talking about creating a psychopath (I have one or two in the Viridian Series books, and they manifest their path in different ways) on Friday.  But Lee Child is not to be missed, on Thursday, and there are four fascinating sessions on the Saturday.

Last year I also made friends with a lovely lady visiting from Canada, so if you’re a friend already, email me for your bed&breakfast booking!

Sounds wonderful. We have Bouchercon here in October – the largest crime festival in the US. It’s held in a different place each year and this is the first time it’s been in the south (close to me – Raleigh). Kathy Reichs is a featured guest. So go! Have fun!

You seem to have more things like that over there… or maybe I’m just not looking at the right blog sites 🙂
