It’s Read an Ebook week! March 6th to 13th (8 am UT), or till midnight on the 12th if you’re in California or somewhere similar.
Each year, Smashwords participates in this jamboree to encourage people to read – and of course, to read ebooks – by offering a huge discount on books of all sorts.
This year all my books except The Perihelix (which is already discounted through to the end of March) will be either FREE or HALF PRICE. This is an excellent chance for you to catch up on those you’ve forgotten to buy so far.
For all my fiction ebooks and the BookElves Anthologies, check my page here – the discount code will be on the buying page for the book of your choice (hint – it’s either RW100 or RAE50, depending whether it’s 100% or 50% off).
The Princelings series: Get all six ebooks for $9 – the first is FREE, the rest are half-price, either $1.50 or $2
The BookElves Anthologies: both of them are FREE
The Viridian System series: The Sampler is FREE and, come on, the Perihelix is only 99c.
White Water Landings: HALF PRICE at $2.50; click here. (use coupon code RAE50)
This is a one week only offer (except for the Perihelix which will end its promotional price at the end of March).
and now for Question of the Month
“Have you ever met an idol/influence/someone you really admire? How did it go?”
Yes, I have. After the first few occasions when I gabbled something incoherent, I learnt to talk to them as if they were human beings with something interesting I should listen to.
Then I learnt to stop talking to them, and just smile. Especially when I realised that no, it wasn’t a long lost friend, it was someone from the tv….
Then again, the most famous person I met was Arkle, who just stood patiently while I patted him, and then moved on.

I’ll probably skip next month’s question in favour of the April A to Z Challenge letter C.
Being incoherent is probably how I’d react if I met my all time favorite band, Green Day. Or I’d start bawling out of happiness. It might be best if I never meet them because I may not be able to function ever again.
ROFL!
I didn’t know about the e-book week. I’ll have to check out your selection.
The first year I did it, it was a big deal. It seems to get more low-key each year!
Yup, I’d probably just smile and blush. Haha
No harm in that 🙂
I’ve been working my way through an e-book painfully slowly. I tend to only be able to read a chapter a week.
No need to choose between AtoZ and QotM. The next question will be “What’s your favourite thing beginning with C?”
lol Thank you so much, Michael!
They’re just people. If I had something to say to or to ask a celebrity I would, otherwise I guess I’d just smile and nod or something like that.
