Signs and Wonders

“Darling, I told you I was making my will.  Will you witness my signature?”

“Of course, Michael.  Now?”

“Yes; sit here.”

Alice sat at the desk in front of the document, a pencil cross marking the place.  She signed.  He took it away.

She wondered why he hadn’t signed too.
