Again?
I thought I Articulated I wasn’t Addressing the A to Z Challenge Again this year. Well, blogging through the Alphabet each April Appears to be Addictive.
It’s April 1st, and so we Advance on our Assault of the Alphabet, co-ordinated by the A to Z Challenge team.
Since my main Apprehension About Activating An A to Z post through the month of April is the extra work involved when I should be editing, I’m not going to work hard on it.
The theme
It Appears that I need a theme to do this challenge. Otherwise I Abscond. So, I Announced my theme – Inspiration for my work – in March.
My Approach will be to blog my usual stuff, so new visitors have a fair view of what they will find here the rest of the year. I’ll just be doing something daily, most of the time. Most of the year I do Monday, Friday and Saturday (I may do two out of the three, or I may Add a Wednesday).
The A of Inspiration is… AGAIN
I like doing some things again. If you don’t enjoy it why do it in the first place? But if you’ve done something once, then repeating it allows you to put the knowledge you gained the first time into practice. Little things might change. But it is also practice, and practice makes for perfection. I should be near perfect at A to Z by now. My haiku aren’t perfect yet, though.
Again, cried King Hal,
Go once more unto the breach.
April: A to Z.
Hi Jemima! I, too am doing it AGAIN! You are right, it is addictive. I’m only linking from Liz Brownlee Poet though – as my A-Z is an A-Z of the Best Children”s Poets – in the UK, US and some of those around the world. This list will remain all year for teachers and poets and people who have children… well, anyone, really, on my site all about poetry and every children’s poet! I’m doing it Z to A as then it will end up the right way round in the listings so easily searchable. If you’d like to have a look, it’s at http://www.poetryroundabout.com Each posting contains a poem the poet has sent! There’s also a competition – 4 poets aren’t real, they are anagrams of 4 of the real poets, and they’ve written another poem to accompany a false bio. The winner gets a copy of my latest book, Apes to Zebras, shape Poems, Bloomsbury. Gosh – sorry this is so long! Liz
That’s an amazing theme, Liz – but only to be expected from you. And I love the idea of doing it backwards so it’s easy to search later. I found that when I did my A to Z of the Princelings world in 2012. If I ever do another, I’ll copy you!
The challenge is hard to stay away from, isn’t it?

It is indeed. Watch out for my S post, by the way 🙂
I only have V W X and Z posts to write, now!
It is hard to resist. But with everything else I’ve done in the last two weeks, I just didn’t make it. So once again I’ll be visiting and commenting and not trying to post every day.
Rebecca who is NOT doing A to Z
I’m sure you’ll enjoy that much better than I will commenting and visiting all my visitors 🙂
Hi Jemima – good to see you doing the A-Z … and yes Again … and again … and again … see you tomorrow – cheers Hilary
I’m a very repetitive sort of person 🙂
I’m kinda doing my own version of the A-Z Challenge and am currently just finishing up “I”.
It’s the inspiration that’s the important thing. Have fun with J.
We did it, again. I don’t even try not to these years. One year I decided not to do it and a week in, realised I was missing it and joined in late, catching up was tough. This year I’ve pootled my way around. Got behind and ahead in the same measure and am now catching up on the visits and reading all the amazing blogs as we get to the end. One year my computer will be quicker and it will be easier to do all the visits on the appropriate day, maybe.
