Two birds in a bush or three provide my Random Act of Wildness for my #30DaysWild today.
I had to get up early to get my car to the main dealer for its service. Due to covid restrictions and moving, this was more of a palaver than usual, and I was late with the service. They could fit me in for over a month. I would be out of time for my warranty conditions in two weeks. They put it in in the first batch this morning. All I had to do was get there, and pick it up two or three hours later. But I couldnt wait at the dealers because of Covid-19 restrictions…
Fortunately, it turned out to be a nice day, despite the previous evenings dire warnings. I dropped the car off on time, the staff were lovely, (Carlton and Tom in particular) and set off along the path beside the dual carriageway that wound between thick trees to separate the suburban housing from the industrial estate and retail parks.
It doesn’t sound like a good birding area. Yet a Garden Warbler (possibly two) and a Song Thrush were in full voice.
You can’t keep a good bird down. Birds in a bush, indeed!
And it was only ten minutes to Starbucks.
