KL Caley at New 2 Writing is carrying the fire — taking on the #writephoto weekly photoprompt, devised and run by Sue Vincent for over 5 years.

Of course we miss Sue’s input, but she said on her blog announcement:

As, due to my health, I will no longer be able to host the writephoto prompts on a Thursday, KL Caley has volunteered to take over the challenge. Please visit her site and support the continuation.. and let me keep reading your work a little while longer.

Thank you to everyone who has taken part over the years… you have been amazing!

So… this week’s writephoto inspiration goes back to the beginning of Sue’s creations.

The prompt is actually Beyond the Door – or the Hobbit door as Sue originally posted the title of the photo. It’s a poignant picture, given where we are in Sue’s life, as well as several other people’s. At this stage, all I can cope with is a haiku.

Carrying the Fire

One door closes, but

Another beckons to you:

Come! Carry the Fire!

Nice. Strong words, and maybe helpful? I shall have to join the prompt, at least once I get done with the upcoming bout of galivanting.

Yes, do. I think I’ve come up with a few good stories so far, but as you well know, I’m up to my eyes in stuff at present. Thank goodness for haikus 🙂

Oh this is a lovely haiku Jemima. Very powerful. So sorry to have missed it – I am still getting the hang of things, I’ve updated my post now to include it.
    Thank you for joining in.
