The Tackle your TBR Read-a-thon is the brainchild of Tressa at Wishful Endings.  She knows how easy it is to get behind with your reading pile, and this event each September helps us focus and catch up before the year ends.

All you have to do is sign up for the Challenge by 23rd Sept, [this link is to the sign-up post] and then go to Tressa’s Kick-off post and set yourself a target or whatever you’d like to do.

Some mad bloggers have also set up Challenges  for readathon participants – I’m doing one next Wednesday (23rd)  🙂

I’ll be doing some updates between now and the end of the readathon – not daily, and I may tack them on the end of other posts, because I’m supposed to be reading, aren’t I?  I’m also doing a Blog Tour and editing the BookElves Anthology Volume 2, but who doesn’t want to be busy?

My targets are:

  1. read a book from one of my StoryBundle bundles
  2. read a book that’s been on my Kindle since January 2014
  3. read two books from series
  4. read something that qualifies for my Local Heroes Challenge

It’s possible that a book might qualify for two of those targets, but that’s fine.  I should get through 4 or 5 books in these two weeks, which would be a real marathon for me!

And it’s Noirwich this weekend, so I suspect some Elly Griffiths might hit the spot.  I’m really looking forward to seeing her (maybe even meeting her?) on Sunday!

Meet some of the other participants on the link-up page.

Hi Jemima – sounds a great challenge to join – perhaps next year for me … I have to find a way to rattle through some books … and have so many around here … I’ve just tidied some away.

It’s a good idea … enjoy Noirwich … sounds fun and hope you can meet some other bloggers … cheers Hilary

Thanks, Hilary – it’s not too late to join up and tackle those books you didn’t tidy away!

I clicked over from Wishful Endings and realized I’ve been to your blog before–I remember these fantastic ink drawings you had–scrolled around a bit to confirm, and Yes! It was you. (Can’t remember what challenge I was doing the first time I was here…A to Z maybe?) Anyway, nice to “see” you again.

Nice to see you again, Shonna. Maybe it was this time last year – or A to Z, as you say. Watch out for my blog tour starting next week… there are some signed copies of the pictures in the giveaway!

Thanks, Katie. You can read more about the Local Heroes Challenge here – there’s still time to hit the 3 books challenge if you want to read some books set in your local area. 🙂

I have actually been keeping up pretty well with books on my Kindle and Nook (yeah, I use both!), but the TBR list at Goodreads is immense! And I’m 6 books behind on my 150 book challenge for the year (actually, I’ve read more than that, but I can’t count Beta reads or re-reads if I’ve already listed them on GR). So I guess I could sign on to this one!

I love your goals! I didn’t focus on books from a while back or from any lists this time around since I’ve been behind on my blog. I hope you’re doing well!
