I’m talking reading challenges, of course. There will be many other challenges ahead, including various editing projects, and writing flash fiction to the standard to which you have become accustomed. I’ll do my best!

Wild Goose Chase Challenge
Here you have to read books that fit into one of seven categories on the themes of wild, goose and chase. You can only count the book for one category. Easy peasy – it’s only seven books to read, after all!

Mount TBR Challenge
As with last year, your challenge is to read a decent number of books from your mountainous TBR list. Since I made it through to 30 last year, having signed up for 24, I’m tempted to go for the next level – 36. It doesn’t seem to reduce my TBR any, though.

What an Animal 2017
I breezed through my original 2016 target, and then the next one too, but the conditions have been narrowed for 2017 to allow only books where an animal plays a major part. I reckon I might have reached twelve under those conditions last year, but then again, maybe not, so with the addition of my two new challenges, I’m sticking to six titles for this one in 2017.

A Non-Fiction Adventure
And now for a ten-year challenge, to read fifty, yes, that’s 50, non-fiction books. Michelle at Gather Together and Read is hosting this one, having taken it up from someone else. I’ve been looking for a non-fiction challenge for a couple of years, and managed to list thirty from my TBR and added from my bookshelves which I’d missed in the past. I reckon I’ll acquire twenty more over the next six years!

Wow. I’ll have to think about some of those challenges. I do kind of like to just let my reading unfold, though.
Well, all I usually do is read the books on my TBR, but sometimes I choose the next because it fits a challenge, too!

Wow. Lots of challenges. I mostly just stick to the GR reading challenge to whittle at my TBR pile.
