Moving with the Times
Finally, she could untie those paper stacks John stored ‘for reference’.
Wrapping glasses and crockery in newsprint brought memories of John attempting the crosswords, dog at his feet.
She tossed the leftover stacks into recycling, and set off after the van.
Unpacking each box was punctuated with a fresh crossword.

That is…beautiful. I’m still trying to figure out where I’m going with the prompt, but you nailed one direction I was considering (I knew I shouldn’t have read this until I wrote mine!).
Yeah – just like book reviews, never read what the other person has said till you’ve at least started your own 🙂
