Once again, I’m taking a look at my year in books as I did in 2020 and before.

But no, this is not my book of the year.  I’ll do that on the first Saturday in January – oh, that’s New Year’s day!

No this is a job for December, thanks to the Bookshelf Gargoyle , who isn’t blogging any more, but gave me some easy blog content for when my brain is fried.  He always prompted me to do my version of this clever thing – which is to complete the sentences with titles of books I’ve read in the year.

You can copy the prompts and add your own! (This year, all links to my reviews)

Don’t miss my seasonal stories on the series websites today and tomorrow: Yuletide at Castle Marsh 2021 and Seasons Greetings from Sunset Strip

My 2020 Year in Books

So far, I would describe this year as being: the Year of Shadows

I’m tipping that the next big thing in Reality TV shows will be: Death by Donut

I could have cried when: Finding the Mother Tree

I would love to have some respite from: The Madness of Crowds

The most unexpected thing that happened this year involved: The Lantern Men

My non-bookish friends would say I: Outlaw Heroes

My motto for 2022 will be: Pax

I am most looking forward to: What You Can See From Here

A recurring dream I’ve had this year features: The Galaxy and the Ground Beneath

If you looked under my couch you would see: Dangerous Women

If I could no longer blog, I would probably pursue a career in: a Swiftly Tilting Planet

Something most people don’t know about me is: Encrypted

Hi Jemima – those are clever – a fun way of noting books for you, while we get to look and see … I must get to read a Louise Penney … which I’ve yet to do … and some of those others entice – but first read what I have here. Cheers and enjoy the wet build up to NY 2022 … Hilary
