It’s nearly time for the A to Z Challenge 2025, which, having sworn never to do it again, I seem to be doing. So today its my theme reveal for my daily blogging challenge in April.

Theme reveal 2025

It’s supposed to be simple. My theme. Something I can do in a few words and a picture. And yet – I already have a guest I’m interviewing, several books to review, and the usual things like Flash Fiction and IWSG and MMGM.

So.. I must keep it short.

My theme is….

Roscoe in his bath (from Cavies of Flexford Common) (c) JM Pett

illustrations

They won’t all be from my books. I’ve been doing a sketching challenge with my art group during February, and some will come from there.

It’s been interesting, because the more I got into it, the more I enjoyed it (and the better they got. Admittedly, most of them are done on iPad, and using a photo reference. I’m yet to start using the lovely drawing pencils I got for Christmas, although I have opened the tin! But I think they are separate things, pencils on paper are not for the web. I don’t want to scan them in (or photograph them, as the quality would be rubbish). And too many of the prompts had the same initial letter!!

But I think it will be fun 🙂

Fortunately, there are a few you haven’t seen 🙂 Not for the books, though lol

Hi, How I would love to be able to draw. Luckily, my best friend, also cousin, can, so I can fill bare walls with her drawings and paintings.
Drawn on one of our window panes, presumably with a diamond stylus, a small boy once drew a picture of a cat, two circles, two pointy ears, tail. Can’t even manage that!

It’s Roscoe the guinea pig in the bath, but you could easily mistake a face for a dog 😀
I think you can add your email and name on the comments form without needing a webpage. Your email will not be visible, and is subject to the usual privacy policy. But it’s nice to see you, even anonymously !

Sign in with my blogspot url? Oh, I see. I thought the email option was just to add email so I didn’t click on it. So I see now if I click on the email option, it shows the email/name/url option. Thanks for the tip.
          Have a lovely day.

Mine are good enough for my own books, but I wouldn’t dare do them for other people! Looking forward to yours though.
