The January 2021 Of Books Giveaway hop starts today. Thank you, Shannon @ It Starts at Midnight and Lonna @ FLYLēF for hosting it!
The Giveaway Prize
I’m giving away one paperback book up to $15 or £12 from Book Depository, internationally as long as Book Depository ships to you free of charge.
The choice is yours. I could give you several titles I read last year to choose from, but maybe you’ve already decided what you’d really like on your shelf. So the winner really can choose anything (s)he wants, up to the price limit.
That’s it! Just enter via the Rafflecopter, and check your emails on 2nd February to see if you’ve won!

Happy New Year! It’s a fresh start. I think (& I’m hoping) that 2021 will be better than 2020.
I hope it brings at least some of the things you are hoping for. Thanks for visiting, Jana 🙂
The start of the new year felt like a breathe of fresh air. A chance to make this a memorable year for all the right reasons.
I hope it continues that way for you, Mary. Australia has handled this pandemic much better than UK.
Just 2020 finally being over. It was a rough and challenging year in every sense of the word.
Hope 2021 brings us nothing but joy and happiness.
Well, at least a good load of joy and happiness 🙂 I wish you well. Thanks for visiting.
Happy New Year. First time at your site.
2020 is finally over! Definitely hoping for a better year 😉
I hope it is better for you, Beejay. Fingers crossed for you 🙂
I hope it won’t be the last, Nadine. You’re welcome any time you like 🙂 Have a good year.
The best thing for the clock ticking to 2021 was reflecting on all the extra time I had with my teen and husband as well as our granddaughter with me working from home and the girls being here on zoom classes. I really got a ton of extra bonding time with them that I loved.
That’s great to hear, Elizabeth. I had some good things from this year – I was lucky in many ways, not least being closer to my family.
Being closer to becoming an aunt for the first time.
– Betul
Oooh! Lucky! I became an auntie for the first time 40 years (and one week) ago! Actually, that’s not quite true, but families are complicated, aren’t they!
I did it! I actually got through my first Christmas without my Mum after caring for her for 5 years.
Well done. Hugs xxxx
Looking forward to a better year. Good riddance 2020.
Happy New Year!
And happy new year to you, Rita 🙂
Happy new year!!! The best thing about the clock ticking over was a new start for me – I really needed it 🙂
Megan S.
I hope it all goes well for you, Megan. Happy new year, indeed!
I’m alive.
I’m very glad to hear it. Keep it that way. Hugs xxx
The best thing that happened to us in 2020 was that we got a puppy!
Woot! My neighbour also got a puppy. I hope you’re having as much fun as she is!
We bought our first house in 2020!
That’s fantastic! I hope you’ve managed the moving in and redecorating and everything else okay. I’ve had more building trade visitors than anyone else this year (I moved in in March!)
Enjoy your new home 🙂
more books to read
One track mind, there! I have some short story collections coming out later this year…. Just saying!
Our family survived 2020, and there’s hope that things might get better in 2021.
I’m very glad for you. Keep doing what you’re doing, it’s obviously working 🙂
We get to start the year out fresh and try to make things better.
Indeed we do. Good luck, Sherry 🙂
The hope of change in 2021! I hope that the country comes together and the vaccine is distributed and we can all try to regain normalcy!
That would indeed be great. Have a good year, Megan.
The best thing about the new year is a fresh start! Change is in the air.
It is indeed, Karen. Let’s hope the changes are in the best interests of everyone.
2021 is a new chance for me to become better and read more interesting books.
I hope you achieve your aims in both respects. I have interesting books here for you…
The best thing will be visiting my son! Super excited for the new year!
I am just excited to see what 2021 has to offer!
It was the first year that my daughter stayed up to midnight.
Looking forward to a much better year!
I like to think that 2021 will bring some relief from the pandemic.
New bookish goals were a great part of making the turn of the year exciting!
Happy New Year! I’m looking forward to hopefully going back to work fulltime. It’ll depend on the virus and when I can get vaccinated.
I was desperately ready to move on.
I felt a little more optimistic going into the New Year. I have some educational goals I’d like to meet this year so I was excited to start making progress towards my goals!
I’m hopeful to spend as much time with my grandson as I can when it is safe to do so.
2020 was a bad year for most everyone! I aaaam truly hoping for a much better 2021
That it wasn’t 2020 anymore!
The hopefullness that 2021 is better than 2020 was!
The hope that this year will better!
It means I ma 1 day close to moving!
Changing the calendar is all symbolic, but I’ll take any positives I can get.
That it was followed by a long weekend and I could spend those days doing creative things. 🙂
What a fun giveaway!! (: As cliche as it may sound, the best part of the new year is the fresh start. I’m still the same person but it feels like a chance to form better habits and accomplish the goals I’ve been putting off!
The best thing for me is that there is hope for a much better year and for being able to see those I love, like my mom and my daughter, safely.
I was eager to get rid of 2020.
We got to spend New Years Eve with our best friends and celebrate in our new house/city! We also had our newest baby with us— it was his first New Years!
We get another year to enjoy the blessings God has given us!
I was hoping no more lament about how bad 2020 was.
Probably no more than a week more of that, maybe till 20th Jan for US folks 🙂
The best thing was that I survived, and my family survived 2020 too.
i am looking forward to a nice vacation this summer.
2020 felt like 20 years crammed into one. So the turn of the calendar to 2021 was a relief and filled me with hope!
Hope for new and good things to come in this new year!!
A new president
Your wish has come true!
I always have hope for a new year!!! Thank you
2021 has to be better than 2020 although there were some perks. I saved a ton of money on gas by working from home. And fewer trips to the grocery store meant less impulse buying.
I am enjoying working from home and look forward to spending lots of time with my daughters.
The best thing is I’m still alive in 2021, so far!
A clean slate for a new year!
Hi!! Thank you so much for this opportunity:) I was just glad and hoping for a better year 🙂
happy new year! good luck to all the participants!
The best thing about 2021 is that 2020 is finally over! Thank you for the giveaway!
The best thing was all my great nieces and great nephew get to have their Christmas presents in the spring. They don’t understand the virus situation, just that they get presents in the spring, lol (They know that a virus is like being sick but that’s about all they understand.) My oldest great niece knows they had to have school at home due to the virus, but her younger brother just likes the masks, lol
The 2021’s arrival was nice because I was with my partner. Overall, I look forward to doing better after so many bad things. I think I learned to cope better with loss of things and how to move on forward!
I would have to say it’s a fresh start! A clean slate!
The best thing was the anticipation of a new president.
What was the best thing about the clock ticking over to 2021 for you?
the hope for a plague ridden world!!!
THX
My favorite thing about the clock ticking over to the new year was that even though the pandemic has been tough, I still have my family to laugh and celebrate with!
Even tho I didn’t vote for Trump or Biden (I did a great Pro-Life Write-in) I was happy to see Trumps “reign” coming to an end. Thanks and God Bless! dot com
The best thing was to try and think positive. 2020 was such a negative year. so far 2021 has been going slightly better.
A new start and a new year.
