Cumulonimbus,
Altostratus or Mare’s tails –
There’s a lot about!
We’ve had some very interesting clouds lately – I suspect what is called “Ex-hurricane Bertha” by our weather forecasters has something to do with it. We’ve also had very changeable, but warm, weather – very pleasant summer weather in the UK, in fact.
I took the photo of the Mare’s tails from outside my front door, just as a neighbour went past. He stopped for a chat – he’s well used to my strange ways by now. The ones below I spotted early one morning, and thought they’d be useful for changing the colours and using for pictures of the Viridian system!
Tuesday haiku – Clouds
Look like angel wings to me! This is our summer:
Humidity high
Towering clouds rising up
Rain coming later
I hadn’t thought of angel’s wings. Rain later = true 🙂
Wait–taking pictures of clouds is weird? So asks the meteorologist’s wife (I wanted to make that a haiku, but there are too dang many syllables in “meteorologist”!).
Fog has moved back in, almost thick enough to be rain.
“Pictures of clouds?” asks
Meteorologist’s wife.
“That’s normal to me!”
Oh, well done!
