The Bloggers Bash for 2018 was on Saturday. I travelled down to London from Norfolk, negotiated the usual engineering works on a trainline somewhere, and arrived in time for my promised hug from Hugh. I got my nametag and a goodie bag, ordered lunch, and joined the throng in the middle of Ritu’s talk about how she blogs (and she won an award for blogging, so she should know!
That was followed by mixing time and lunch, and I mixed, chatted, had lunch, chatted, occasionally noticed the royal wedding being broadcast in the adjacent bar, chatted and mixed until it was time for awards for blogging – check the bloggers bash sites for the winners! Then there was a talk on mailing lists from Sacha, more chat time, more awards, a panel Q&A which was great fun, more awards, and then it was all over. Except it wasn’t because we chatted and drank some more in the bar where there was an FA Cup Final going on on TV, at any rate. I believe there was one goal, scored by the local team.
I’ll get round to naming names and listing blogs in the near future, so come back later in the week!
I recognise some faces there! Looks like a great event.
A Wonderful roundup and photos, Jemima. Thank you so much for joining us. I’m so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the day.
My best wishes, to you,
Hugh
Looks like everyone had a smashing time! I see Christoph made it – wasn’t sure. Thanks for the photos!
Lots of photos Jemima. Very nice to meet you at the Bash. 🙂
Sounds like fun, and educational too!
