My first quarter update is only slightly late!

The SpaceTime Reading challenge is for reading addicts who want to try space scifi and timetravel genres for the first time, as well as hardened scifi addicts.

I keep my list on my SpaceTime Reads page, which also contains all the details of the Challenge and the current sign-up list. You can still sign up, if you missed it at the start of the year.

The Targets

There are 4 levels to aim for (or achieve):

  • 5 books: Planet hopper
  • 10 books: Interstellar explorer
  • 20 books: Galactic navigator
  • 40 books: To Infinity and Beyond

I am going for Interstellar Explorer again. So, how am I doing?

First Quarter results

It’s started very well! Even without counting Zanzibar’s Rings, which I read for the nth time before publication in February, I am ahead of schedule. The Psychology of Time travel is a mend-bender for time enthusiasts; this was a netgalley release already on my to-read list at the start of the year. CassaDark was a pre-release review (out this week, do check out that series), and Andorra Pett a last-minute blog tour spot.

I did get stuck on The Quantum Thief when I couldn’t find the book after Christmas. I found it on my kindle, but haven’t got back to it yet. And I’m enjoying Project Hail Mary at present (brilliant aliens), and will finish that in the coming week.

So I’m well on target, with three of my ten under my belt already, and two more ’on the go’. They will take me to half way, and I haven’t even counted Wendy Leighton-Porter’s Shadows from the Past series catch-ups. They feel more like ’historical’ than time-travel these days.

I’ll be round to see how you’re doing soon!

I believe I have one… I managed to get Becky Chambers’ new “Monk and Robot” from the library.
