Welcome, everybody, to my Challenge for the Tackle Your TBR Read-a-thon 2016.
First off, I’m going to explain about my series, then I’ll set you a Challenge, and then there’s the giveaway.
The Princelings of the East
by Jemima Pett
A ten-book MG/crossover Fantasy/Scifi series (6 published, 2 scheduled, 2 outlined)
The Princelings of the East was originally a trilogy telling the adventures of our heroes Fred and George. Two innocents abroad, they leave the security of their isolated castle and venture out into a world of castles, tunnels, pirates and lost cities. They meet princes, innkeepers and travellers, become embroiled in shady business dealings, shipwrecks and totalitarian societies. Despite being guinea pigs (cavies) they live much like you or I would like to, and have much more fun!
The series continues with adventures of other inhabitants of the Realms – and visitors from other places. Book 4 sees the antagonist of the first book justify his actions and tell the story of how it all began – but it’s a major spoiler for the first in the series. Then we discover inter-castle rivalry, smuggling and spying as we explore dastardly goings on and the impacts of changing technology on the people of this world. Life becomes ever more complicated, leaving George and Fred wondering how they are ever going to make good on a promise they made in book 1 – and whether they will even survive.
Buy the ebooks:
for Kindle on Amazon and Smashwords
for Nook on Smashwords and Barnes & Noble
for iPad on Smashwords and the iBookstore

The Challenge
Since the first book in the series is FREE for all ebook readers, I’m setting you the challenge to tell me the last three words at the end of the first chapter. Note that the preview on Amazon and Smashwords does include this page, but hey, if you’re looking, it’s free, so download it as well!
DO NOT REVEAL THIS IN THE COMMENTS – put it in the rafflecopter entry
If you’ve already got the book and haven’t read it yet… read to the end as part of your #TackleTBR and tell me the last five words for an extra entry in the rafflecopter.
The Giveaway
I’m giving away a swag bag of Princelings goodies, to include a Princelings paperback of your choice, a signed print of one of the chapter illustrations (size A5 or half Letter paper), and some other bits and pieces, sent anywhere in the world.
Giveaway closes 27th September, midnight New York time.

Thanks, David!
Great rafflecopter! I like the little quizzes (easy for me–I just pulled the book of the shelf and looked 🙂 ).
I’m also making some progress with the pile of books at the head of my bed, though not, I think, as quickly as I’m adding new books, paper and electronic. The situation is growing perilous!
I have upped my reading (and occasionally overload my ‘currently reading’ section, in order to stay under 500 on my TBR. Then yesterday I got a book which I haven’t actually added to my TBR yet. I’m not sure these strategies will do any good. :O
You are brave! I’ve just been packing my books to move country and have been confronted by how many are still to read… I think such a TBR challenge is on my horizon!
Last time I moved I let some books go which I realise I should have kept. Then again, I think I should let a lot of pseudo-textbooks go since I’ve not read more than a few chapters. Life moves on… and sometimes it seems to move backwards, too. Can you park any of the books with a friend in case you come back again?
Good luck with the move – and the reading!
Brilliant idea for the giveaway!
Thanks, J 🙂
Thanks for hosting, Jemima!
You’re very welcome, Tressa
I just got the book on Kindle haven’t had a chance to read it but it helped me with the challenge 🙂
I hoppe you enjoy it when you do, Paij 🙂
Hope the swag bag wasn’t made from guinea pig skin 😉
