Halloween. It’s tomorrow, or if you’re in Australia or New Zealand, it might even be today, depending on when you read this. No matter. My Treat for you is a free download of the Traveler in Black and White, book 4 in the Princelings series, but it’s a prequel (and spoiler for book 1).

Lord Mariusz, peeved by being cast as the villain in the first book, attempts to set the record straight.  He narrates, in his own Humphrey Bogart fashion, how he found the time tunnel, and his adventures when he started to exploit the business opportunities he found on the other end, disguising himself as a simple traveler called Hugo. 

Trouble could have been Hugo’s middle name, since he certainly attracts it.  Murder, vampires, dodgy business people, secret agents… Mind you, the upside is that he attracts beautiful females, too.

Written for older middle grade readers, and adults of all ages, Traveler has gathered critical acclaim.

The Traveler in Black and White was a huge surprise for me.  I didn’t honestly expect it to be a Chandler-esque novel with complex characters, a mind-blowing plot and a fascinating society.  But it was! Carrie Slager – The Mad Reviewer

This book has plenty of elements to entertain the reader. From the main character Hugo (did I say he was charming), to his efficient assistant Willow, to the shady characters he encounters. Be sure to check out this book! I picked up this book having not read the others in the series, and was not disappointed in the least bit. This novel is full of wit, beautifully crafted fantasy, and great characters. You definitely don’t have to read the others to read this book, but reading it will make you want to read more.
